The GetWell Kit is a custom product designed especially for our customers in times of need. If a product you've installed is defective and still under warranty, we'll process an "advanced exchange" to get a new one and you can send the old one back after you receive the replacement. When ordering, tell us what TiVo you have, the DVRupgrade kit you installed, and we'll send you a custom configured replacement for quick re-installation in your unit!
GetWell kits cost nothing if you are still covered by your DVRupgrade warranty. Simply return your old drives within thirty days of receiving your new kit (we supply a pre-paid return label) and your credit card will be charged for nothing more than the initial shipment of your GetWell kit (if shipping charges apply). We'll look up your original order to ensure the appropriate GetWell kit is created for you, and if you are no longer under warranty a service charge will apply. Ordering a GetWell kits does require an authorization on your credit card, but as long as you return your drive(s) to us within the thirty day period, there will be no charge, other than the applicable shipping costs.
If you've added a drive to your single-drive unit, and we find your original drive to be defective, a service charge for replacement of your original drive will apply. We'll get in touch with you if any other charges apply.
If you are not currently using a DVRupgrade add-on drive or replacement drive kit, but think you may have a bad drive in your system, a replacement drive kit is your best alternative.
If you've rendered your kit inoperable due to modifications you've made to the software on your system, we cannot cover you with a GetWell kit, however you can order a recertification and send us your drive, and we'll restore the software for you.
