The TenBox can be configured in two ways with the flip of a switch on the back of the unit. In RAID LEVEL 0 mode, the TenBox provides as much recording capacity as possible; as much as TWO terabytes of recording capacity will become available to your DVR once it is plugged in and running. In RAID LEVEL 1 mode, the TenBox will mirror all of the data from one drive onto the other. That means if either drive in the unit fails, your data will be secure. Your TenBox will indicate that there is a problem, and as long as you have your unit serviced quickly, your data will always be safe.
