These are some screen shots of InstantCakeHD 6.3 in operation. The goal is to prepare
a blank hard drive, or two hard drives, for installation in your HR10-250. The
completed drive set will contain a full working version of the operating system,
expanded to utilize the full space of the drives you supply.
Note that actual screens may
vary based upon the revision of the product and the selections you make during
the installation.
You will need to ensure that your hard drives are connected to your PC before running InstantCake.
We recommend connecting both of them to your secondary IDE channel, as displayed above. If you
have a different connection scheme in mind, you'll probably want to consider running the advanced mode
discussed here.
Your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive should be connected as your PC's primary slave (this is the most
common configuration). If you have multiple CD-ROM devices in your PC, you will probably want
disconnect all but one of them, and if your device is connected differently, you may want
to consider either reconfiguring it, or running in advanced mode.
In this example, we are going to continue in novice mode.
