You will need to ensure that your hard drives are connected to your PC before running PTVnet. Even if you are not using InstantCake, if you have two hard drives dedicated to your TiVo DVR, you must ensure that both are connected. We recommend connecting both of them to your secondary IDE channel; one as the master and one as the slave.

In any case, most configurations are single drives, and in this example we will select one drive.
