This chart should help you to better understand the most notable differences between the original TiVo Series3 HD DMR (discontinued) and the newer TiVo HD and TiVo HD XL DVR units. This link to the TiVo HD spec sheet may also be useful. TiVo Series3 units are no longer available, and although we can order you a TiVo XL system, by special request, we prefer to offer the TiVo HD system as the core of our upgraded systems because it is a better value, and we offer a better warranty than available for the TiVo HD XL from TiVo, Inc.
