We have a TiVo that came with a 160GB drive. It has a cable card in it just one cable card and it can record 2 videos at a time. TCD652 HD TiVo.
I paid for the Instant cake and it downloaded and unzipped it and put it on a CD. Then I put a 1TB green WD hard drive on my computer and rebooted it. Had to pick the right CD drive and SATA 1TB drive. The BIOS said the SATA 1TB drive was Port 1 but when booted it was port 0. I had to reboot 3 times to get the CD and hard drive right.
Put it in the TiVo and booted it up. I thought I would have to go though the cable card setup and I did a test with channels and about the 3 one it rebooted on me.
So I did not go though the cable card set up again. The TiVo downloaded a lot and it worked very good. I did not have to call Comcast to set up the cable card it just worked.
I got the 160 GB hard drive testing with Spin Rit right now. It has found no error yet.
I am not sure if we did not get good HD some times or if the hard drive did not record it good. With time will see how this 1TB drive works.
Just wanted to post this because it Instant cake worked real good and easy.
