Thanks to DVRUpgrade.com and Instant Cake I was able to resurrect my aging Series 2 Pioneer DVR-57H Tivo the same day it died, albeit with a old 11.5GB hard drive. Story here:

Using KMTTG and pyTiVo to leverage my computer's storage, I'm still getting all of my shows, but it's time to put some *real* storage in there!
I am interested in using a 1TB SATA hard drive in my Series 2 Pioneer DVR-57H. It seems the SATA drives are much cheaper than the IDE/ATA drives at this capacity and who doesn't want to save some money these days, right? I found this adapter at DVRUpgrade.com:

It appears to be what I need to make this happen, but I'd like some confirmation if possible.
Can I buy a random 1TB SATA hard drive, attach this adapter, then set up the disk with Instant Cake, and then install and use it in my Series 2 Pioneer DVR-57H? Would there be any heat concerns? Is a SATA HDD too fast for my old Series 2 TiVo?
How about a 2TB drive? I'm looking at the Seagate Barracuda LP ST32000542AS.
