I have had a sony svr networked with a Tivo ISA adapter from 9thtee.com with kingston kne20bt network card for 7+ years. The unit worked great over the network, until the harddrive failed. I purchased instantcake for the unit and installed new 80gb harddrive. Now the unit will not see the network. Help please.

According to 9thtee"ALL technical support will be handled on the SiliconDust Forum (http://www.silicondust.com/forum)." maybe you should check there. Good Luck Be sure to include the version number of your board as the software is stated to be version dependent.:)

Sounds like you are using a TiVoNet adapter, NOT a TurboNET adapter. We don't use TiVoNet around here, but for it to work, you'd need to install the drivers.
By default, the TiVo software (and InstantCake) does have TurboNet adapter driver support.

Hi guys,
I've got a situation here I can't figure out what is wrong, you might be able to help.
I bought an upgrade HDD about two years ago from DVRUpgrade.com and it was working create unyil a week ago the DVR (Sony SCR-2000) started acting up. Rebooting randomly or just hanging. It would have happend sometimes that I had to telnet into the Tivo and execute /ptvupgrade/TivoWebPlus/tivoweb in order to be able to do http into it.
I was going to execute this command today and it said "ptvupgrade Not A Directory". I did ftp into TV through WS_FTP, and as I was suspected, ptvupgrade was not showing as directory (screen shot attached). Does this mean it got corrupted? And if yes, how can I get it back (maybe there is a backup in the TV in another folder)?
Thanks for your help!
