Hello everyone. I posted this question on another forum and was recommended to check out this site for answers. I purchased a Tivo Series 2 Dual from someone and its not working. At first it wouldnt do anything, but after leaving it on for a while it starts up and stays on the Welcome! Powering Up... screen forever.
Ive been told this is most likely a hard drive or a power supply problem. Before I start taking out the hard drive to take it to someones house to test it (My PC only has SATA connections) I want to know if anyone here thinks it may be the power supply. I took some picks and I think one of the capacitors may be blown, but I dont know for sure. Can anyone tell me based on the pictures that I post if you think this is purely a problem with a bad power supply or if it could still possibly be the hard drive?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
