I've ordered my Hard Drive kit the other day. The 250GB for my Samsung Sir-S4080R.

Now, I see you have made mention to not use the Instantcake Software on the OEM drives, but the drive that is in this unit is a Western Digital WD800BB. From what I can see, it is just a standard desktop hard drive, not one that is optimized for DVR use. Now, with this being said, once I've put the new drive in and got it working and then used WD's software to check the drive for errors, if it is clean, can I just use the Instantcake software on it to re-do the drive? The date on this drive is 19th of Feb. 2005. And then use this as a backup drive?

Also, the Instantcake software is using the 6.1a software version, does this version use the folder options in the Now Playing list? Will you be releasing a newer version of instantcake with has a newer Version of the Software other then 6.1a any time soon?

Another thing if you don't mind? I also have a Phillips DSR708 downstairs which is also rebooting since the 6.3e software update. Seems funny that two separate units from separate manufacturers are all doing the same thing since this last software update. The Samsung Unit does it every night between 10:30 and 11:30 and the Phillips does it every evening between 5 and 6. Seems awful funny to me. Anyhow, back to my question. The Instantcake software, is it unit specific of will it work on any Series 2 unit. I don't want to have to buy it twice if I don't have to.

Thanks for your patience.
