I have a 80Gig (no HD capable!) Tivo Series 2 model TCD653080.
It's not listed in the catalog of DVRupgrade...
As long as I could find out, this model is more like the TCD649180 than the 65xxxx HD series.
Which software/path should I use to hack/expand such unit?

I would go to the unit's "system information" screen and see what the software information says... do the first three digits really start with a "653?"
