I have Directv HR10-250 with 250GB EIDE HD. What replacement HD can I use?

The drive in my DirecTV HD10-250 is a Western Digital EIDE 250 GB. I noticed that some of the replacement drives that are sold for my unit by DVDUpgrade are PATA. Can I purchase a new PATA or SATA and use it in my HD10-250? Do I need to get a different cable? I would like to buy a 320GB Western Digital. When I look at MircoCenter they have very few EIDE drives. I appreciate your help.
