I baked my S3 last night, and it appears to have been successful. It is recording and I see channels on both tuners. However, one difference I have noticed is that I see "the grey screen" when changing channels. It displays briefly, but does display every time I change the channel when watching live TV. It also displays at other times when there is a delay.
Once, when changing channels, I was taken to one of the Cable Card screens (black & grey utility screen).
I did not have the cable co. (Cox) do anything for my cable cards after I put in the drive because all appears to be working except for the grey intermediate screens.
Note that my drive is a Western Digital AV-GP WD10EVCS Hard Drive that I was using externally until the TiVo drive died. I neglected to format or clean the drive before "baking" it.
