accessing dtivo's int ip from outside

I just got my hd replacement with tivoweb and love it! I was wondering if there was a way I could get my internal ip addy that my router assigned to my tivo to be visible on the outside, say if I'm at a friends house, see something I want recorded and goto their computer and enter that same ip address. I had a friend try it from their house and it's not working...my guess is that my router is blocking it.

Any ideas?

Also, I followed the intructions to enable my dtivo to make the call for my initial guided setup via my router, but now that it did it, is this the setting that kepts the ptv software from blocking updates? If so, should I telnet back in and set it to network call off?
