Does anyone know the default baudrate for Dtivo series II
number start bits?, number stop bits?, parity even odd or none? 7 or 8 data bits?

Not sure what terminal package you are using, however we've found TeraTerm Pro (http://www.ayera.com/teraterm/) to be well-suited for serial-based terminal sessions; of course you need to have bash enabled on the serial port, first...
