Hi Everyone
I just purchased a 160gb PTVnet upgrade drive with a Tivo Wireless adapter from TivoCommunity. Unfortunately I didn't read everything and after installing the drive, the wireless adapter does not work.
Is there anyway I can obtain and load the drivers onto the PTVnet disk or is it easier to bite the bullet and and just purchase the Buffalo wireless ethernet converter and the Netgear USb-Ethernet adapter?
thanks in advance for any help
Mike

PTVnet will not work with the Tivo Wireless adapter. You have to use a USB 2.0 Ethernet adapter, like the one we sell on our site, and then can connect that to the Buffalo wireless gaming adapter...

I have an old Linksys wireless router (WRT54gs). Can this be used in place of the Buffalo assuming I get the replacement hard drive with PTVnet and the ethernet adapter?

If you can get that router to behave like a bridge / gaming adapter, then I suppose so. I've never done that before, so please let us know if you are successful and what you did to make it work.
