Hackman installed on InstantCake?

I just installed IC for Series1 Philips and want to install HackMan. This needs to be in the same directory as TivoWebPlus to work correctly I believe. The only directory I can ftp any files to is the VAR/HACK directory. Everything else is read-only. When I expand the Hackman files a new TivoWebPlus directory is created along with the HackMan modules... Is the answer to telent in do a vi edit of the rc.sysinit file and simply redirect to /var/hack/TivoWebPlus? There has got to be a better way (to quote The Who). Seems like this will fail unless I do a full install of TWP, then Hackman, then modify rc.sysinit... is this the answer? I just want HackMan BackMan! Thanks

It's been a while since I've done this, but if you telnet in and do mount / -o remount,rw then you can ftp the hackman install file to the /TivoWebPlus directory and install it there. All should be well. Let me know if not!

Outstanding - worked like a charm! Thanks again - it feels great to have my HackMan back and be able to do mods on a InstantCake drive like the old days when I made the image.
