First I have no problems with Windows But know NOTHING about Linux, My MCSE is useless here.
Second I have used instant cake before with no problems.

Third have broken left hand so typing might suck sorry.

That said I can not get TIVO 3 TCD 648250B to go past the Welcome Powering up screen.
No Error messages just hangs there.
the front panel shows 2 red on left and 1 blue and 1 red on right with the little Tivo gye in the middle.
The new drive is 1TB the old 1 is 250GB

Tried pluging it 8 or ten times so no go there.
Tried re burning new disk no go there
Tried burning a 500GB with the same problem so size is not it Is it.
Note: there were NO errors on the burn screen stated it was good.

Please teach me, what stupid mistake I am making.

OK I burned a 320GB drive and it works OK
Just can not get a drive larger then the original one to burn and run.
Hangs on the Welcome powering up screen

I have burned all the disks just the same but only this one works.
I bought this disk to upgrade to a 1T if I can not do that its useless.

Suggestions please.

Sympathies on the hand.

Do you still have the original hard drive and is it still good?

If so, you can use WinMFS, running on Windows XP or newer (Vista, 7) to copy the original to the 1TB and expand.

Although I thought Instant Cake had an option to expand after baking.
