I will be glad if someone can give me a little more in depth instructions on how to use the instantcake program. Here's what i have done. After unzipping the download, 5 files appeared on my desktop where i saved it. They are: Autorun, isolinux, ptstart, live, and images. Which of these files should i copy to disc and how large should the file size be. Isolinux is the largest at 22mb. Any explanation would be helpful. I really need to get my tivo up and running again.

I think you've missed something... you need to unzip the ZIP file that you downloaded; that will produce an ISO file which you need to burn to CD... Here is just one tutorial (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm) on how to burn an ISO to CD. There are lots of ways to do it.

Full instructions for using InstantCake are linked below in my signature (there are also more details in the README, as well)...

Since I have yet to download Instantcake myself, but wasn't the extention on what you downloaded .iso ?? If so, then you only need to use your burning software to burn the image to CD.

The file size will vary, and its not a good judge of anything.

Again, unzip the .ZIP file you downloaded, and do not do anything other than burn the ISO to CD. Unpacking the ISO will do you no good.

Trust me, if you follow the instructions, it will all work just fine.

Still unable to get the right file. The only thing that appears after unzipping are the 5 files mentioned above. Even downloaded again to be sure. Guess i will try again tomorrow.
