it appears that i am having a problem with 2 hr10-250 HD units. they are both randomly rebooting. it appears that they are rebooting while recording hi-def shows. i placed my original hard drive back in one of them, and it appears to be ok? I make the assumption that they reboot while recording CBS channel 80 HD. Friday night while trying to record Num3ers, it rebooted, then tonight(monday) it rebooted 4 times between 8pm, and 10pm while trying to record the monday night lineup on CBS. my other one is doing nearly the same thing....
No phone line plugged in
I have installed your software on 2 of my previous series 2 units that were standard def, and didnt run into this problem.
I installed ptvnetHD 6.3x and instantcake 6.3d standard on the hr10-250's order # 57253.
It really weird that both of them started doing this within the last few weeks.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Other people appear to be having a problem, as well (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=5647951#post5647951). Not sure about this, but whether your unit is upgraded or not probably has nothing to do with it.

i placed my original hard drive into one of them, so i will know more tonight when i check the recording from last night to see what happened.
It also happened to me late last night while i was watching a recorded show. damn thing just shut off, and rebooted. it wasnt recording anything that time.

I have two HR10-250 500GB Linksys USB2 running InstantCake + PTVnet HD that BOTH were doing the random reboot dance last week.. AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME ON BOTH UNITS. This seemed to occur if they were recording two HD shows like House off DirecTV )not OTA).
They're behaving now but there was definitely causing this. Most interesting part was I got a call from DirecTV offering to send me FREE HR20s... right after these units were doing this!
Coincidence... I don't think so.

Have seen a lot of reboots reported in CT and all associated with Fox. I think it is more likely Rupert Murdock related. Remember it is his company providing Directv with the new boxes. Bet he is trying to ensure future sales. Both the fox network and HD DVR mfgr are NewsCorp related.
