Installing Tivo server with Directtv tivo series 2

I have read many posts and looks like I can build a computer that my tivo can store and read movies and shows off my computer. I believe it is called a TIVO SERVER.
Can anyone point me to the install directions for a unit like this.
Also has anyone done the same thing on a Dish Network DVR?

SteveI believe you will find what you want here:

It is unlikely you will find anything like it for disk network as Tivo is currently suing dish network for patent infringement. hope this helps :)

Is there any documentation for this software?
This way I do the right thing while setting up my tivo server
This will allow me to save movies and shows on my pC and then access the shows and movies from my hacked Tivo?
