Do you think it will be possible anytime soon to get MPEG4 HD Capture? I'm able to record the MPEG2 stuff off of the Caked HR10-250 such as ESPN and OTA, but the HR10-250 is unable to receive the Big Ten Network on a non-MPEG4 STB. What do you think?

Check out the Neuros OSD and MPEG-4 recorders we have, they will capture video from practically any source and save as MPEG-4.

FYI, I edited your original post, please no need to create posts directed to just me; others can answer questions, as well!

Thx,
Lou

These don't save them in their native resolution though do they? I thought they save them for use with IPODs at much smaller resolution. I want to keep them recorded in HD so I can someday burn to Blu Ray when those burners are cheaper.

That is correct, they do not save in their native resolution but do save to MPEG-4 in a variety of formats for different portable devices.

If you are interested in burning to Blu Ray, your best bet is probably to build a PC-based DVR, which of course will only work with unencrypted content. With encrypted content, well, you won't be able to record to anything in its native format because the content is protected, and its illegal to do anything to decrypt it... so you'd have to use the analog outputs and lose a generation of quality...
