Making Network Call

OK.. I have done everything in my power to get this to work and I still can't !!! I can telnet and access TivoWebPlus with my network connection but I CAN NOT make the daily call using the network connection. Can someone point me in the right direction or give me some suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong.

Not sure what you've done in attempts to get the call to happen via a network connection vs the default of it using your phone line, but here is how you do it on drives configured with PTVnet:

Configuring PTVnet to make calls using Internet connection instead of phoneline (http://www.dvrupgrade.com/dvrupgrade-support-center/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=111)

Note that if you do this, your unit might update to a later version of the software and overwrite any changes to the drive.

DirecTV software upgrades happen though the satellite. My boxes haven’t made a call in years but the software still gets upgrades. I now have Showcases (Academy Awards) and BK burger vote.
