Hi folks-
I need a little help with this. Sat t60 - baked with 3.5c instant cake, attempted to copy the kernel from DVR free lba48 cd and heres the problem.

I used the following connections:
hda - dos disk for mfs backups/restores
hdb - tivo disk ( fresh 3.5c)
hdd - cdrom

Booted the dvr free lba48 disk
Went through the menus until I got a prompt, typed copykern, selected hdb as the tivo drive, selected option3 (3.1.0+) and the error I get is:
/cdrom/s1_kernels/kernel-3.1+/vmlinux-3.1+.px.gz: no such file or directory
writing 877056 bytes to '/mnt/kernel.orig'
tpip: unknown boot block signature: 0x0
Kernel Updated!
Have a nice day

Questions:
1. Is my kernel updated, how do I verify?
2. Why am I getting this error msg about no such directory?

Just so you know, there is no need to use CopyKern when building a drive with InstantCake; we already take care of ensuring the correct kernel is installed as part of the installation. It won't hurt to do it, though - as long as you are installing the correct kernel.

No, that is all taken care of with InstantCake.
