Is it possible to increase the Buffer Record Time on an InstantCake/PTVnet upgraded D* DVR from the standard 30 minutes to 60 or 90 minutes? If so, how would this be accomplished? Seems like a feature many people might want to add to their systems.

You can use a script called bufferhack which is located and documented at dealdatabase (here is the link (http://dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42809)).
No reason why you can't access your PTVnet upgraded unit via telnet and ftp to install it; it seems many people do.
If you think it might be interesting to others, please document your installation steps, and perhaps write an article which we can publish in the articles area of the web site?
Thx

Thanks Lou:
When I get all my "stuff" together and the Cake & Net installed on it and working, I'll give bufferhack a try and see what I can do to write it up as asked.

That would be great; I've not tried it myself, but having looked over the first few posts of the thread, it looks pretty straightforward.
