I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. I have purchased InstantCake and a 160gb DB35 harddrive. I have done everything (as best I can tell) exactly as explained in the instructions. I have disconnected everything in my computer (actually, have done this with two computers), I have set up the CDRom as SL (slave) with the jumper, I pulled the ribbon from the original harddrive in the computer and put that into the CDRom, I put the other ribbon (from the CDRom) into the new Seagate harddrive (and configured it as Master). I have copied the .iso file onto a CD (actually three different times with different programs - Roxio, Nero and ISO Recorder). I have gone into the Bios and made sure I am booting from the CDrom first. On one computer, I get a boot failure on the CDrom and then a hard drive failure. On the other computer, I get a Drive A failure. I realize this is not any problem with InstantCake and that it is obviously my ineptitude with configuring my computer properly. I just can't seem to figure out where I've gone wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can get my Tivo back up and running.

Thank you in advance for your help.

After a lot of trial and error, I finally got the software onto the harddrive. I simply left the CD cables in their original place and just pulled the ribbon from the computer's harddrive and plugged that into my new harddrive. Since I had the Advanced version of InstantCake, I was able to name it hda and it worked. I've gotten the new harddrive into my Tivo unit and all is working great.
