I am able to boot from the CD, everything is connected and recognized properly, however when it gets to running InstantCake2 everything goes wrong.

I get the following error:

"mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb, or too many mounted file systems (could this be the IDE device where you in fact use ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?)"

It then goes on to say, "/etc/rc.d/rc.S: /cdrom/.live/bin/PTVbake: No such file or directory"

I have been at this for hours and cannot get this to work. Boots fine, but loses the DVD-Rom.

That is an indication that your devices are not set up as you think they are, or there is a problem with your DVD-ROM drive. Make sure that you only have one CD / DVD device in your PC and that it is connected to the primary slave and that the target drive is connected to the secondary master.

Please refer to the official discussion thread for more information, as this topic has been raised there before.

You haven't mentioned which InstantCake you are using, but if you have the advanced mode available, you can also specify the device names if you don't have things connected in the recommended way (some PC's with SATA devices that are enabled, will assign different device letters to the CD and hard drive names).
