Hello, and thanks in advance for your help.
I have Hughes dirctivo (or whatever it's called specifically) HDVR2 that was having issues freezing, and failing playback. I took a different old 40 gig hard drive, installed InstantCake, and everything seemed to be working seamlessly. Impressed, I got PTVnet expecting the same ease of use, ran it, but I think I'm missing something. I allowed updates, but the software is still 6.2a. I also enabled the USB20 and then tried to plug in a Linksys WUSB11 ver 2.6 USB to wireless B adapter. I then restarted the Tivo unit using the remote (not the power cable), but only the power light for the WUSB11 comes on, no link light. It appears that PTVnet made no changes to the hard drive as far as I can tell. Is there a way to verify that these changes have been made at all? Also, if it did work, what should I try in order to get the Tivo on to the wireless? (no encryption, router supports B & G protocol)
Thanks so much for your help
