I had to pull my 120GB drive out of my Dtivo and use it for another application. Luckily I had my virgin 40GB drive that I had not touched. So I threw it in, and away I was. The problem is that the original drive had 2.5 on it. Tivo has long since turned off the upgrade servers via phone lines and 2.5 doesn't have the code to upgrade via SAT. So I bought instantcake. Then I found out you need a larger than normal drive.
I was able to get around that by using:
mfstool restore -p -s 64 -zi /mnt/.images/000001 /dev/hdx
So that worked and then I did a C&DE. The problem is I can't telnet. I can ping, but I can't telnet. I'm wondering since I didn't use the script if the hacks didn't get installed. Can someone tell me? Thanks
