a question of Jumpers

When I PTVNet'ed & baked my latest Seagate 750gb drive I placed the jumper on Master, I had freezing problems with the drive, pulled drive ran diagnostics (no problems found) re-PTVnet'ed & Bake, placed unit in TiVo jumper on Master, same freezing problem. I noticed the original drive WD 250gb jumper position was at Cable Select. I have not tried to put the new drive in this position yet, can someone explain the importance of jumper placement both in baking and installing a baked drive. thanks in advance

If using 1 drive jumper should be master for imaging and cs for in the Directv TiVo. If using 2 drives jumpers should be master and slave for both. :)
