InstantCakes help!

I have a Sony SAT-T60 and downloaded InstantCakes and it ran with no problem.

However, after installing the hard drive back into the DirecTivo, the tuner is stuck on Channel 201 (I think). The SAT-T60 doesn't respond to the remote, and the front panel controls don't work.

Any ideas?

I downloaded "instantcake-sat-t60-1.2-NR-3.5c.iso".

Make sure you put your unit back together correctly and that all the cables are secure - you may have disconnected the front panel assembly by accident and that will prevent the remote from working.

Also, if you changed your remote codes at an earlier time, you'll need to change them back to the defaults, or use the front panel buttons to navigate to the 'system information' screen and then press a button on your remote so that the unit can sync up again (if the front panel buttons don't work, then you've definitely put your unit back together incorrectly...)

The front panel controls definitely don't work. I'll check the connections tonight. Will report back findings.

You nailed it. Upon careful inspection, the ribbon cable to the control buttons was partially pulled out from the mother board.

So, after re-seating the cable in the connector, we're fully functional.
