I apologize if this has been addressed before, but I would like to know exactly what I need to do to upgrade my RCA DVR-40 Series II. I would like to do to upgrade a new bare 500 to 750Gig drive so DVR will see all the available space. Will Instantcake provide everything I need to do this or is there something else I may have missed. I have upgraded my other DVR's a couple of years ago but have encountered the137 Gig limit which I am trying to figure out how to eliminate for my next upgrade.

Thanks

If you are only interested in increasing the recording capacity, then the software piece can easily be accomplished with InstantCake; a good place to start would be the installation instructions and release notes (linked below).

There are no issues with the 137GB / LBA48 limit on these units.
