Here are the essentials:
Hr10-250 running 6.4a
PTVNet 6.4a CD for above system.
Trendnet USB adapter just purchased from DVRupgarde
After running PTVNet CD on my backup, no networking!
Repeated drive rebuild again just to make sure. No networking.
After extensive reading and troubleshooting, i whipped out my trusty serial cable and hooked it up my my hr10.
The boot logs revealed the the adapter was not claimed by any active driver.
A snip from the log is below:
usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0xb95/0x7720) is not claimed by any active driver.
ehci-dummy: dummy EHCI module loaded
I hate to assume the the PTVNet scripts failed on the initial install. Is it also possible the the usb init or other scripts are failing to complete on Tivo boot?
I took the hard drive back out and mounted it. I have given my root partiton a cursory look and all of the necesssary modules were copied in lib/modules. The other /ptvupgrade directories and files seem to be in place.
But I am at a complete loss as to what else may be failing.
Any ideas?
