I just purchased and installed 6.2a instantcake and ptvnet. I can't get my usb adapter to work. It used to work with my old 6.2 version.

The problem I see is that there is only an "ok" option to answer for installing USB 2.0 drivers when running the current version of PTVNET. I don't have a USB 2.0 adapter and it does not look like enabling USB 2.0 flag is downward compatible with older USB / Ethernet adapters that used to work.

Anyone got any ideas?

Greg

I have:
DirecTV TIVO Philips DSR700
instantcake 6.2a-01-2-101
ptvnetSD-6.x-2.0.0

DirecTV TIVO Philips DSR700

ptvnetSD-6.x-2.0.0

PTVnet-6.x does not support USB 1.1; only USB 2.0.

This is the adapter we recommend using (http://www.dvrupgrade.com/dvr/stores/1/accessory_nomodel.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=341).

Full list of adapters that should work is detailed here (http://www.dvrupgrade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20) in the second post.

Lucky me -- I had an Netgear FA120 on another machine that I can use...

So my 3COM 3C460B is no longer useful on my DSR7000 Tivos if I update the software?
