Hello,
I have tried to find my answer elsewhere, but since both of these products were sold by dvrupgrade, maybe someone here can help.
I would like to put hacks on my Pioneer 810. My understanding is I need to modify the boot rom to not check for hacks. Because of this, I need to run killhdinitrd against my Linux kernel. This is contained on the LBA48 boot disk with enhancements, which I purchased. Stop me if I'm wrong...
The boot disk, contains a hook to pull a kernal from an InstantCake CD. I can easily see how to run this PTVbake-special, and I ran it and had it copy my kernel from the InstantCake CD. I now have a hard drive that boots up.
Now my question.
Do I need to run killhdinitrd at this point, or was that done through the PTVbake-special and InstantCake CD and I am now free to add my hacks?
Thanks in advance.
