I can't create a new drive for my tivo TCD240040 using a Dell 2400 because it's bios doesn't allow booting a CD ROM connected to the primary IDE interface. I tried the advice in these threads without success:

I was successful about a year ago using "advanced configuration" and created a drive for different model Tivo using the same dell. Problem is the instantcake version for theTCD240040 doesn't seem to offer me an advanced configuration mode even though it is advertised to have it. Any advice appreciate. At what point in the process is "advanced config " offered?
