I have an HR10-250 that I want to upgrade with PTVnet but do not want to lose the recorded content. If I use the existing hard-drive (the one with the content) as a slave and use a new unit to act as master, will I be able to play the recorded material once the upgrade is completed?
Thanks in advance.

Using PTVnet will not disrupt the content on your drive. But note, PTVnet is not designed to be used on an original drive, and although it will probably work fine on an original, we are not responsible if for some reason it does not work, and you end up losing your content. So my recommendation to you would be to at least ensure you have a backup, before you try running it, regardless of whether you are using it on an original drive, or a drive you previously upgraded with that now has recordings on it.
