tivo reboots every hour

Hello all,
I've upgraded my philips series 1 w/ a drive baked w/ instantcake and TWP and a cachecard. Issue is now the tivo seems to reboot every 65 minutes or so for a period of time [several hours]. Then, it seems to stabilize for a while, and then restart the hourly reboots. Any thought? Which log would be the place to start looking?

Are you using 6.4a? This was an issue with older versions of software because directv changed the format of season passes. if you are using 6.4a have you run the manufacturers diagnostics? You failed to mention what drive you are running. Is it a PATA drive? :)

Hi Rick,
I have my maxtor 120 gig with a seagate 80 gig. Ii found the tivo error log, and it seems to be related to the phone call and data load. The phone call takes place fine, but some point at less than 100 percent load, the tivo reboots. I've been able to confirm this behaviour by forcing a call. The call goes out via the cache card, not the regular phone. I'm on version 3.0 of the tivo software and 2.0 of TWP. The drives are pata, and passed manufacturer's diagnostic before going in the tivo.

How old is the Maxtor? Over 3 years? Have you tried dd_rescue from www.mfslive.org. It will check for corrupted data files. It is freeware.:)
