I recently bought a Philips HDR 312 without a hard drive and used InstantCake to create a drive for it. The unit works, but won't control a Samsung SMT-H3050 cable box with the IR Blaster cable that I bought on eBay. Does the Tivo have the correct codes to control this cable box? If not, is there a way to upgrade the Tivo so that it will control that cable box? It's a nuisance to have to remember to put the cable box on the correct channel every time I want to record something.
