I see in the upgrade kits that they use the same Seagate HD, does that mean that all these upgrade HD's are essentially compatible with each other? I have an old Hughes Directv model and would like to remove the HD to use it to replace HD on my Philips Tivo which is starting to shudder and pixelate and lock up the philips. If I unpug the philips unit it reboots and runs fine until the next lockup. It sounds like the hard drive to me, but if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated, I am hoping to harvest the HD off the Hughes and use it in the philips.
