I currently have a TiVO HD, with a MyExpander attached. Have had it for about 6 months with no problems; however, I've been reading that the Expander tends to die after a year, which I find amazing. But, at the sam etime, I don't want to lose what I've got on the TiVO, and I want the extra space. So here are my questions:
I gather the BEST thing to do is just upgrade my hard drive in the TiVO, but I do NOT want to do it myself. What would it cost and how long would it take? How do I preserve what's already on there for programming, or would I lose it all? Would I need to have the cable co. re-install the CableCard? So many questions....
