I have a DirecTV Phillips DVR704 That I purchased a 500 GB drive upgrade from DVRUpgrade. The unit has been having problems booting up. I am no longer using it to record, but I would like to be able to reliably view the recordings that are already on it. I have 3 other Series 2 DirecTV DVRs. If I move the drive from the current DVR to one of these other DVR's can I still watch the videos that are recorded on it?
I learned after letting a DirecTV tecnician replace my round dish with a new Slimline HDTV compatible Dish with SWM technology the this is not compatible with my legacy Tivo DVRs. Thanks, DirecTV!
